Gary Pihl From Boston Talks With Josh Allen

Boston On Tour

The Kansas Expocentre and 99.3 The Eagle are thrilled to welcome BOSTON to Landon Arena this Sunday!

Josh Allen from The Most Music Morning Show had Gary Pihl from BOSTON on the show to talk about The Hyper-Space Tour that will land in Topeka this Sunday (June 4th) It’s been over 40 years since BOSTON’s self-titled debut album first hit and turned the world on to a new kind of sonic experience. With over 17 million copies sold, their hits  are rock staples on The Eagle. Their second album, Don’t Look Back was another chart-topper that confirmed their place in rock history. Then after a long hiatus, Scholz and crew dropped Third Stage, which hit #1 on the charts, in 1986 and produced the all-out smash, Amanda. Walk On, Corporate America, and Life, Love & Hope complete the band’s discography. With over 31 million albums sold to date, BOSTON has stood the test of time.

Gary was raised in the suburbs of Chicago for the first 12 years of his life, then relocated to the San Francisco Bay area and has led a musical life ever since. A long-time vegetarian like Tom, Gary now resides in a suburb of Boston with his wife and two sons.

Tickets are on-sale NOW for Sunday’s show at The Kansas Expocentre Box Office and Ticketmaster.

Enjoy the interview and we’ll see you Sunday night!

In addition to his BOSTON ventures, Gary still finds time to let his creative energy fly. He says, “I’ve enjoyed working with some friends on a “project band” called Alliance. It’s Dave Lauser from Sammy Hagar’s band, Alan Fitzgerald from Night Ranger, and Robert Berry from 3. It’s a mix of all our favorite styles from Blues to Prog rock.” Alliance has released three albums to date.

“Robert Berry and I are also in a band called December People. We do traditional holiday songs but in the style of different rock bands. We do Joy to the World as if the Who were playing it, Santa Claus is Coming to Town like ZZ Top might play it. You get the idea. It’s a lot of fun and every show we do is a benefit for a local charity, usually a food bank.”
